Choosing a long-lasting fragrance is less about price and more about three things: concentration, note structure, and application.

1. Understand concentration

Parfum and EDP hold the most fragrance oil and last longest. EDT is lighter and fresher, ideal for daytime.

2. Look at the base notes

Woody and oriental bases — oud, amber, sandalwood, vanilla — cling to skin far longer than citrus tops.

3. Apply to moisturised pulse points

Hydrated skin holds scent better. Spray on wrists, neck and behind the ears, and never rub.
